History

We at Cloverhill Farm have been working the ground and milking registered Holsteins since 1917. It was named Cloverhill Farm for the pasture hill behind the barn. When Grandma was a little girl growing up on Cloverhill Farm, one of her jobs was feeding and caring for the chickens that provided eggs and meat for the family. That started a passion in her that carried through to her 80’s. Throughout her life, in addition to milking, she collected, cleaned, graded and candled eggs to be sold in town for “egg money.” When she could no longer care for the chickens on her own, I began to help out. Lo and behold, I found I really enjoy it too. So, when the responsibility became all mine, I began selling eggs and freezer chickens to friends and family. It has expanded quite a bit since then and I now offer these same high quality eggs and meat to you, as availability allows. Our eggs come from chickens that are offered high quality, farm raised grains and the ability to free range throughout our farm every day. They enjoy the sunshine and abundant room to run. We have built from Great Grandpa’s vision and have added pork and beef to our menagerie! Our livestock are raised in the same way, and some in the same barn, as the generations before us raised theirs. The cows, beef and dairy, all enjoy plenty of green pastures and farm raised grains, just like their poultry friends. Of course, the animals here are never given hormones or antibiotics. Our children and grandchildren are fed the same high quality meat, eggs and milk that have been raised here for over 100 years. We wouldn’t offer them anything but the best, so that’s what we offer to you too. We hope you enjoy our wonderful fresh, local, natural, free-range eggs, chickens, pork and beef! If you ever have any questions or would be interested in trying anything, please feel free to call me. Thanks!
